Mark Bitnner
Mark Bitnner, born in Vancouver in 1951, is the author of The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, an astonishing book that would later motivate a documentary of the very same name. The author got his inspiration from a flock of parrots in the Telegraph Hill area. His love for the animals established saw him encourage the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to pass a bill forbiding humans from feeding the wild birds in parks.
Greg Biffle
The legendary NASCAR chauffeur, Greg Biffle was born and raised in Vancouver in 1969. During his racing career, Biffle acquired many wins for his group in a career spanning over 26 years. He ended up first in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2002 and held second place in the 2005 Beast Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Other good statistics in Biffle’s racing profession include more than 150 leading 10 finishes in almost every NASCAR Xfinity and Beast Energy Series, at least 10 pole begins in every Series, and more than 15 wins in every Series. Few motorists can match these statistics.
